Simply put, Eventbrite is an online ticketing service that lets you manage events. But it's so much more than that. It gives users control over their events and helps create a social sphere to spread the word.

Kevin and Julia Hartz are the co-founders that run the company. They just reported a fantastic Q1 of over $40 million in ticket sales but they didn't let it go to their heads.

I was recently in San Francisco and had an opportunity to sit down and hear some of their Eventbrite stories.
